Independent app studio · Oslo, Norway

Software with
orbital precision.

We design and build native mobile apps for people who care about performance, detail, and the way pixels move. We have a particular love for spaceflight — and the apps that make it tangible. Every release is engineered to feel inevitable.

A small studio engineering apps that respect the user.

Orbital Momentum AS is an independent Norwegian app development company. We work in tight collaboration with founders and product teams to ship apps that are fast, focused, and built to last.

Our practice is grounded in modern Swift, deep familiarity with Apple platforms, and a long-running interest in route planning, GPS data, and real-time information systems. Spaceflight is where many of those threads come together — we specialise in building apps that bring orbital data, launches, and live telemetry to people who love looking up.

Founded by Joachim Gresslien, founder & developer, in Oslo.

What we do

01

Native iOS apps

End-to-end product development in Swift and SwiftUI — from first sketch to App Store release. We handle architecture, state, networking, and the unglamorous edges that decide whether an app feels right.

02

Spaceflight & orbital data

Live launch schedules, orbital tracking, and telemetry made legible on a small screen. We work with public spaceflight APIs and TLE data to turn raw numbers into something you can feel.

03

Location & routing

Route planning, GPS integration, and live data over flaky connections. We have hands-on experience designing caching, filtering, and validation systems for real-world location products.

04

API & backend integration

Robust client integration with REST and streaming APIs, including offline behavior, retry logic, and clear collaboration with backend teams on contracts and rollouts.

05

Performance & polish

Frame-time budgets, launch performance, memory hygiene, and the small motion details that make a product feel considered. The last 10% is where the work actually lives.

How we work

  • Ship small, ship often. Tight feedback loops produce better software than long planning cycles.
  • Respect the user. We collect the minimum data required, never sell it, and make privacy decisions the user understands.
  • Native first. We build for the platform, not against it. Apple's design language is a starting point, not a constraint.
  • Measure what matters. Cold launch time, scroll smoothness, network resilience — metrics chosen for impact, not vanity.

Who we are

Orbital Momentum AS ("Orbital Momentum", "we", "us") is a Norwegian limited company developing software for Apple platforms. This policy describes how we handle information on this website and in the apps we publish.

This website

This website is informational. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party trackers, or analytics that profile visitors. Standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, requested URL) may be retained briefly for security and reliability, then discarded.

Apps we publish

Each app we publish on the App Store has its own privacy disclosures, presented in the App Store listing and inside the app where required. As a general rule, our apps:

  • Collect the minimum data required to provide the feature you're using.
  • Process location and routing data on-device whenever possible.
  • Do not sell personal data to third parties.
  • Use third-party services (such as map or fuel-price providers) only when needed to deliver a feature, and disclose this in the app.
